Q: Can I use my account just to store files on?
A: No, this is not allowed. If we notice you will be warned. If you don't change it, your account will be deleted.

Q: How does the sign up process work?
A: First you register at this page. Then you get an email for confirmation. If you didn't receive it, check your spam box! Then click the link in the email and you will be taken to the second step, which will be unlocked after you have completed a survey (if you need to fill in an email address, don't forget that you need to confirm that one too!). Fill in the rest of the fields and you are done

Q: I have another question, where can I ask it?

Q: Is there a minimum amount of traffic my site needs to get?
A: Yes, you will need one visitor each week (this can be yourself). If you didn't get a visitor in a week time, your account will be disabled.

Q: What file types are allowed?
A: These: png|bmp|jpg|jpeg|gif|htm|shtm|html|htm|php|txt|png|swf|tif|js|css
shtml|ico|xml|inc|tpl|php|phps|asp|rar|zip|spl|cur|table|wav|sql|lock|sqls|tff|i​nc

If you want a certain extension enabled, open a thread in the file extensions thread in the requests forum.

Q: What is the maximum filesize?
A: 8MB

Q: What sites are not allowed?
A:

PHP Code:

- Proxies 
- Mass emailing 
- Filehosts and imagehosts 
- Anything that has to do with warez, illegal files or hacking, flooding or email spamming 
- Drugs / pharmacy webshops (due to high email spam rate) 
- Phishing sites
- Sites that eat up more than 20% CPU (corresponds to > 2TB bandwidth per month) for a long time
- Scripts that do the above and have a very, VERY heavy server load (holocms is one of them)
Anything else that looks suspicious (we will contact your first) or needs heavy server resources 


We will remove your account without notice if we see that your site is one of the above. This list is updated regularly and without notice. A rule of thumb: don't do anything with your site that will harm us or your users.

Q: Where are your servers located?
A: In Washington D.C. (USA)

Q: Why haven't I received a confirmation mail yet?
A: Look inside your spam folder. 99% chance it's there. Otherwise, open a thread on our support forums and we will fix it

Q: Do you support PHP?
A: Yes we fully support PHP

Q: Is PHP safe mode on?
A: Yes (For security reason)

Q: Is Ioncube supported?
A: Ioncube and its installers are not supported

Q: Can I have more than one subdomain?
A: The user name supplied upon sign up serves as your subdomain. Additional subdomains are available too.

Q: What are the Nameservers for domain registration?
A: ns1.sqweebs.com, ns2.sqweebs.com

Q: How do I set up my FTP?
A: We send an email upon sign up with your FTP details. The following information applies:

PHP Code:

FTP hostname: "username.sqweebs.com"
FTP username: username
FTP password: account password
FTP port: 21 


Q: How do I CHMOD files?
A: You can CHMOD files through FTP

Q: Can I unzip files?
A: Unzip files feature is not available in our server, please use Web Based FTP to unzip

Q: Can I use .htaccess files on my account?
A: .htaccess file extention is not allowed in our server. (Disabled for security reasons)

Q: What methods to upload can I use?
A: We support FTP and Filemanager Uploads

Q: Do you support MySQL?
A: Yes

Q: How do I create a MySQL database?
A: Please login to your panel and then click the create/delete MySQL database button
First type a database name in the create database section and click create database.
Then create a username and password in the create user section. (note these do not have to be the same as your account username and password)
Then assign full privileges to this user for this database in the create privileges section by clicking assign privileges
your database name should look like: abcabc_abc
your database username should look like: abcabc_abc
your database password should be whatever you set it to

NOTE: you MUST assign privileges for the database to work

Q: Where can I see the phpinfo?

Q: I wanted to host a forum / site but i don't have the script
A: You can find 1 at our Scripts Section.

Q: Does Sqweebs has site builder?
A: Yes, please visit Sqweebs Site Builder

Q: Why my domain isn't working? Help!
A: Make sure you have forward the NS to ns1.sqweebs.com and ns2.sqweebs.com, you will need to wait for a while for the domain working.
(*It can takes up to 48 hours, be patient)

Q: Why i gets error when using MySQL?
A: Make sure the SQL information is correct, and your username / DB name must not over 10 characters.

Q: How do i edit my site? (For sites created by Sqweebs Site Builder Only)

Q: Why can't I login to my database and phpmyadmin while I have done everything correctly?

A: Please post a reply at Want mail() enabled? thread.

Q: Can i have Custom Error Pages on my Sqweebs Web Hosting account?
A: Custom Error Pages are not available, please do upgrade your account to get full features.

Q: Why i always get "Internal Server Error" message?
A: Please wait for a while, it may take up to 48 horus.

Q: How do i get .htaccess and safe_mode=off feature?
A: You can get it by Donating to Sqweebs, send the reception number through PM to me.
